Best In Show @ The Digital Hub

The Digital Hub are organising a showcase event of graduate work from colleges this coming November. While it does seem a little far away, applications are now being accepted for the opportunity to showcase your work.

This is a fantastic way to get to 'show off' weeks of hard work, meet potential employers and even meet other like-minded people you can collaborate with on other projects. The Digital Hub hosted the graduate shows for Multimedia students from DCU in 2005 and 2007. They are great people to work with and are highly supportive of anyone who wants to get involved and exhibit at their venue. Myself and Pearse Fitzpatrick organised last year's show, there was a lot of work involved but ultimately it was great fun. Feel free to email me at cloudsteph@gmail.com if you think I can answer any questions or help in any way.

Download the high-res flyer here and here is the application form.

MMA Exhibition 2006

Good day all!

As you may or may not have heard, dates for graduation this autumn have been set for November 6th & 7th, a Monday & Tuesday respectively.

Myself & the masters' rep are looking for feedbach re dates for the exhibition of our projects so that we can start looking for a venue (something we need to organise asap). I am suggesting that we have it on the weekend just before graduation, possibly the Saturday & Sunday the 4th & 5th as it is a time when people in the class are likely to be around, all the undergrads will be around too and it might give us all a chance to show all the folks what we've been up to for the past few years!

I would really appreciate feedback on this as we need it decided upon asap in order to book a venue, so please add comments to this post. Other aspects like equipment (computers, projectors etc) can't be booked/sourced anyway till September when the masters students are finished.

Thanks in advance!

Joining the blog

Okay, I didn't have the time at hand lately to go setting up a lovely login system for this so for the moment, I'm going to have to manually invite people to join.

I've sent out invitations to those whose addresses were at hand (i.e on Bebo or in my address book). If you haven't got one by the time you read this, just send an email to meejablog@gmail.com

Cheers folks :)

Welcome one and all

This is of course the obligatory first post to test that things are running
